The original kitchen in this Pymble home was constrained by an awkward U-shaped layout with multiple angles, limiting both functionality and flow. Seeking a more open and practical space for everyday living, the homeowners partnered with Nobby Kitchens and designer Matthew Eve to completely transform the heart of their home.
The brief centred around creating a spacious kitchen that would better accommodate food preparation, family gatherings and entertaining. A key design challenge was the irregular shape of the room, which was cleverly resolved through the inclusion of a hidden appliance cabinet that improved the layout while significantly increasing storage capacity.
At the centre of the design is a striking two-tone island finished in Dulux Wishard, creating a bold focal point that anchors the space. Combined with generous bench space, integrated appliances and carefully considered storage solutions, the kitchen delivers both style and practicality for modern family living.
The result is a beautifully balanced kitchen that transforms a dated layout into a welcoming, functional and highly organised space where the family can gather, dine and connect.
The expansive island creates a welcoming family hub while maximising preparation space, storage and everyday functionality.
