The “WOW” Factor
The owners of this kitchen knew they wanted the “wow” factor in their renovation. By combining a spectacular use of texture, colour and style, this has certainly been achieved. Previously, this 1980s kitchen was a dated, darker space with a G-shaped layout.
The owners needed something fresh and spectacular to truly bring this room into the modern age while still ensuring it complemented the aesthetics of the rest of the home.
The result is this gorgeous play on traditional and contemporary styles. The elegance of the mantle and the mesh insert on the convenient appliance cabinet are the perfect nods to the past, with the on-trend subway tiling and glossy Silestone benchtop adding a modern feel to the space.
Light is ample thanks to the window above the sink and the use of light and neutral white tones on the cabinetry. A wall was removed to further open up this room.
