Open Space
Nobby Kitchens redesigned this kitchen with space and accessibility in mind. In fact, the entire first floor is open, with the kitchen sitting right in the centre of two living areas.
Prior to this, the kitchen was small due to several walls and AC ducting shrinking the available space. To open it up, the Nobby Kitchens team removed and relocated the walls for a seamless transition between all areas of the home.
The clients — a large family — required a space that could easily cater to high traffic and surprise guests. To accommodate this, the bench became the centrepiece for entertaining loved ones, with a nook to store bar stools and the benchtop made from durable Desert Silver Silestone. The generous storage adjacent to the benchtop makes it easy to hide away appliances at a moment’s notice.
Lighting was also a strong consideration in this project. Large windows were added to take advantage of the home’s beautiful location, where natural sunlight can gently illuminate the kitchen throughout the day. No doubt the homeowners will be spending plenty of time in this modern space, whether it be entertaining their loved ones or cooking up a storm with the family.
