Wahroonga

Step inside this kitchen and you’ll feel instantly at home. Nobby Kitchens designed this Wahroonga space to be undeniably contemporary, yet warm and familiar — a place where the whole family naturally gathers at the end of the day.

The open plan layout was central to the brief. By integrating the kitchen with the living and dining areas, Nobby Kitchens created a more social, connected experience. However, the project came with its challenges the adjoining family room was sunken, so a dual-height bench was designed to bridge the two levels. The result is a subtle architectural detail that adds character while keeping the overall aesthetic clean and streamlined.

Functionality was carefully considered throughout. Clear work zones make the kitchen easy to navigate, and the old built in pantry was removed entirely. In its place, a new scullery area was created in the laundry, where larger appliances are now neatly stored and out of sight.

White Shaker style cabinetry keeps the space feeling bright and open, with extra lighting inside the pantry adding practical illumination. A bifold appliance cupboard maintains the clutter free benchtop, while the striking textured doors on the appliance cupboard add a distinct decorative touch that sets this kitchen apart.
