St Ives

Starting from a blank canvas, the Nobby Kitchens design team had one clear goal to create a modern, functional kitchen for a busy household. Because the space serves as a natural thoroughfare between different parts of the home, it needed to handle high foot traffic without compromising on style.

To achieve this, the team focused on a marriage of form and function. They also drew inspiration from nature, bringing the outdoors in through earthy tones and organic textures. At the centre of the space sits a show stopping curved island, positioned to anchor the entire kitchen. On one side, it offers casual bar seating. On the other, it provides clever integrated storage. The curved edges, suggested by the homeowner, give the island a softer and more welcoming feel.

Along one wall, floor to ceiling cabinetry houses both the fridge and appliance cupboard, keeping everything neatly out of sight. Meanwhile, the opposite wall features a fully equipped workstation with a sink, tap, and cooktop. A large window directly above the sink floods the prep area with natural light and frames a beautiful view of the garden outside.

For the finishes, the team chose Laminex Spinifex for the main cabinetry and Polytec Florentine Walnut on the feature wall. Together, they create a warm, grounded palette. The Sentio Dune benchtops then add a final touch of understated luxury.

With style and functionality like this, it’s no surprise this kitchen is the beating heart of the home.
