A kitchen that was once tucked away and forgotten, now reimagined as the heart of the home. Designed by Anthony from Nobby Kitchens, the Newtown kitchen is a masterclass in considered transformation, where timeless shaker style elegance meets open plan living and every detail earns its place.

At the centre of the redesign was a fundamental shift in how the space connects with the rest of the home. What was once a cramped, isolated room at one end of the house has been opened up into a bright, welcoming hub where cooking, entertaining and everyday life come together seamlessly.

The star of the kitchen is a generous island bench finished in white stone with subtle grey veining. More than just a preparation surface, the island anchors the entire space, offering casual seating, room for entertaining and a natural gathering point for family and friends.

A custom grey green polyurethane paint gives the shaker style cabinetry a soft, sophisticated presence. Warm enough to invite, refined enough to endure, the colour introduces character without competing with the surrounding space. Brushed gold handles and statement pendant lights layer in quiet luxury, while a herringbone patterned splashback adds texture and visual depth.

Behind the beauty, every element works. An integrated refrigerator, integrated freezer drawer and fully integrated dishwasher disappear into the surrounding joinery, maintaining clean lines and a furniture like aesthetic throughout. Deep drawers and thoughtfully designed cabinetry ensure everything has its place, while a built in wine fridge sits seamlessly within the island.

Perhaps the most talked about feature is the concealed appliance cabinet. Fitted with a stone work surface, integrated lighting and a timber lined interior, it keeps everyday essentials like the coffee machine, toaster and blender organised and out of sight, allowing the kitchen to shift effortlessly from busy family space to elegant entertaining area.
