kitchen
West Pymble
Designed by: Matthew Eve
The original U-shaped kitchen, complete with a raised bar back, restricted functionality and disrupted workflow. After 30 years without an update, it was well overdue for a complete redesign. With the next 10 to 15 years in mind, the owners set out to create the ideal family kitchen, one that would maximise space, offer generous storage and preparation areas, and provide a comfortable seating zone for daily meals and entertaining.
This transformation needed to achieve more than just practicality. While flexibility and functionality were top priorities, the design also had to deliver an aesthetic that was both inviting and timeless, a space that feels warm, welcoming, and built to endure.
The island bench takes centre stage in the new design, its waterfall ends and Steccawood batten detailing creating a striking focal point that anchors the space.
